Success is an Open Mind

What does this mean? What is a Closed Mind?

Have you ever noticed - when you get a new car that you thought was “uncommon and distinctive” - that once you are driving around in it - just how many of then there are on the road!

Or - How you can manage to pick up on a conversation that piques your interest across a crowded room… Or even - just how stunningly attractive that person across the room is - and yes - they seem to have noticed you - how the rest of the people in the room fade into fuzzy insignificance.

We can somehow “Tune Out” the background noise and concentrate on just exactly the sounds we are focussed on?

Have you ever wondered how this happens?

Have you ever been frustrated that you can’t seem to find people wanting to listen to you about your product or opportunity?

The first examples are of an “Open Trained Mind” - The frustration comes from having a “Closed Mind” - or working with people that have a “Closed Mind” .

With a “Closed Mind” they never see the answer to their problem even though it may be staring them in the face; they never see the opportunity they are desperately seeking to change their financial situation. They never find new customers or new team members to recruit.

Try this simple test - Think of an uncommon luxury car…. Don’t make it too hard on yourself - Choosing a Zonda or a Mclaren F1 are probably not good choices - I tried this the other day thinking of a Mercedes CLK hardtop convertible - Silver of course…

When I got off the train in the city, I had to walk about 6 blocks to reach my appointment - and I was “convinced” that I would see this Silver CLK - and guess what? - After just 2 blocks - there it was! - stopped at the traffic lights while I waited to cross. I checked the tag on the back just to make sure it really was a CLK - and not an imposter.

Was I cheating? - was the Mercedes dealership right across the street fro the train station? - NO - and let me tell you - there aren’t too many CLKs in my city!

Why did I see it? There may have been a little “manifesting” - have you read or watched “The Secret” - Was the Law of Attraction working for me? - Possibly, but the real reason was simple that I was expecting to see one - and so my subconscious mind was tuned to see it..

At the base of our brain is the “Reticulum” - the section of our brain that filters everything that comes into our brain and directs the impulses to wither our subconscious brain or our conscious brain - By being “convinced that I would see a CLK”, I set the filter to search for a CLK - and when I saw one, I became aware of it.. If I hadn’t set the filter - I probably wouldn’t have even noticed it.

But what point is there in all this? - The driver didn’t get out and hand me the keys - they just drove off when the light turned Green…

Simple - By convincing ourselves of a Positive Outcome, we can achieve that positive outcome. If we “tell ourselves” that something will be difficult - like finding a new customer, or recruiting a new team member; nobody wants to know about my products, nobody wants to join my business team… Then that is exactly what we will get - No sales, No recruits. No Business. Failure…

On the other hand - If we go in with a Positive attitude - (Where have I heard that before???)

We will be more aware of the signals that people give us every day that they are looking for a solution to a problem that we can help them with - Either by purchasing our product or by joining our team. OK- so they won’t be queued up at your door as soon as you open it - but you will find that by “opening your mind to successful positive outcomes” - you will notice more and more of the “right kind of people” more opportunities to discuss what you have to offer.

Open your Mind to Success. Don’t open it to failure by keeping it closed.

Achieve Your Goals with Creative Visualization

Setting and achieving goals is one of the central keys to personal and professional success. Putting your goals down as a concrete statement of what you want and linking the achievement of those goals to a specific timeline, is essential to actually getting what you want. Other techniques like sharing the goals with others to enhance accountability and reading the goal aloud are a couple of ways to reinforce goal achievement. However, a far higher degree of success with goal achievement is assured when “creative visualization” is applied to both goal setting and implementation.

There are numerous definitions for creative visualization but our emphasis here is on using it as a tool to link your goals and the power of your imagination. By using creative visualization to formalize what we are doing subconsciously most of the time, we are generating a powerful tool to support our vision of our success.

When we set a goal and capture it in writing, we have a word picture of what an outcome will be when our efforts are finished and completed. If we use those words to create a mental image in our mind, we now can “see” within our brain what things look like when that goal has already been achieved. Creative visualization is simply seeing things, your work, your relationships, even yourself, the way you want them to be when your outcomes have been achieved.

By using this amazing tool, we can harness our emotions, our concentration, and our focus so we can point them at a brilliant, vivid mental picture to achieve what we have visualized. As we keep replaying these images in our mind, almost like a movie, we are using the art of creative visualization to move our actions in the direction of these powerful, positive thoughts.

Day after day those acts and steps move us closer to the image of the completed outcome for our goals that we hold in our minds eye. When we do this, we stop allowing our unconscious or subconscious to take our thoughts and actions in the wrong direction. We are continuously and consciously using our thoughts as a powerful tool to achieve the things we truly want.

There are several resources covering the practice and implementation of creative visualization. Recently a book shot to the top of the bestsellers list by promoting, among other practices, visualization as part of “the secret” to life’s law of attraction. We suggest you do some online or library research to identify authors and other resources that can help you link creative visualization to the achievement of all of your goals.

Preparing For What You Want In Life

Whatever it is you want, get ready for it. Make a place for it in your life. Get comfortable with the idea of having it. With preparation it is summoned to come to be.

We can wish all we want for what we want. We can dream, we can hope, we can pray. Anyone can do that, we all do that, so what? It won’t just work like that unless you show that you are serious. You’ve got to prepare. Preparation turns the uncertain into the inevitable.

Believe in magic, it happens all the time. We manifest what we want through the ritual of preparation. Toil in the expectation of change and change will come about. The work you do will have a way of removing doubt. Doing and acting out can transform your unconscious and your conscious, in essence transforming your life.

Your mind sees yourself doing something in preparation for something and gets convinced that the something is something that will definitely be. It is real, it is coming, and you are making it happen.

Put in the work, put in the time, and especially put in the passion. If you feel it, then you can have fun with it and the ball will really start rolling. You can let it control you as if you’ve surrendered. Go ahead! It is what you wanted anyway!

Preparation could be playing, learning, practicing, growing, developing skills, acquiring objects and tools, investing, building relationships, creating strategies, planning inventions, giving attention, making observations, discovering how to use your unique qualities.

Life has a natural way to prepare us for what we need to experience right from when we are born. Parents, nurses, siblings, friends, relatives, animals, teachers, story characters, all contribute to who we are. Moving on from here is up to us as we make our own way in the world. Life and the world hold many treasures.

With preparation there is no apprehension, no fear, no wondering what is going to happen. Don’t lament over a far away desire. Prepare! You are then taking steps toward the desire. Additionally your desire is making way toward you. ‘Tis the operation of magic, run with it!

It matters not that you have not what you want right now. You know you want it, you only need be patient, prepare and know you will get it with persistence. Preparation is a positive attraction energy. It is getting yourself ready. A doing on the road to being. Are you making room for being? Are you making preparation? Are you making magic?
